Configuring OS X Mail with SSH

1) To access the OS X Mail client, double click "Mail" in the "Applications" Folder          

    If Mail has not been used before, a "helper" such as the one below may appear

2.  Make certain to choose "IMAP" in the "Account Type" Enter your personal information in the General Information section, then "Continue".
     The "New Account" window will open.

3.  In the "Incoming Mail Server" section enter andromeda.rutgers.edu for Andromeda,
     then enter your NetID and password.

4.  Click Continue.

5.  The "Outgoing Mail Server" window will open.

Note: At this point, you don't have to check "Use Authentication," but this is highly recommended if you are sharing your computer.

6.  After you're done with this page, click "Continue."  The summary page will be displayed, showing you your settings.

Note: SSL is automatically on, click continue to complete the process.
