1. Start Netscape. Select Window from the menu and then select Mail & Newsgroups
2. You will see the following window:

3. Click Edit, and then select Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.

4. Select Server Settings located under your account name in the left pane of the Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings window.

5. You should see andromeda.rutgers.edu or pegasus.rutgers.edu in the Server Name field.
6. Check the Use secure connection (SSL) box under the Server Setting section is checked. Other settings in this window can be personalized to fit your work style.
7. In the left-hand pane of the Mail & Newsgroups account settings window, click Outgoing Server (SMTP)
8. Click the Always button under Use secure connection (SSL).
13. Click File, and then Exit to exit Netscape. Netscape will need to be restarted before changes will be applied. Close all components of Netscape (the browser, email program, etc.)
14. Restart Netscape.
